Well Saturday night, I had my 'Christmas night out'.
Iwent to an old friends houswarming first, well on a narrow boat actually. Found it weird though, 'cos that ten thousand pound issue just hasn't gone away just yet. The boat was full of them, all concientiously not mentioning anything about Reddreads' birth, in case she hadn't told me yet. But of course, actually, she is and has always been a lovley friend to me. And Yay, she has had a bouncing healthy boy, who I cant wait to meet.
It was really great to see Vitimin2K at that party, hopefully I'll see her more over Christmas.
Happily, I had a perfect excuse to leave the boat early, another party, well there always is darling, and so I made my way back down south to the Unsound.

There were lots of lovley people in there, DJ Deadlock greeted me with a copy of his new CD, which was so nice. Mega Bitch Rowan, Pranksta Mel was also there, been so long since I've seen her, and as luck would have it I was wearing the shirt she'd brought me one birthday when I'd had a party at the flat, although she inists she never gave it to me,which was confusing. Perhaps it was just a loan. Well at least I'm still wearing it, and it is a very fine shirt, makes me feel dead glamorous, even these days.
I sat with Joe rolling spliffs alot as I did feel quite tired after having so much fun in the mosh pit with the Inner Terrestrials. I know its mad at my age, but I always have enjoyed the fun of the right crowd. It did leave me a bit spent though, but I have always loved sitting in comfy seats at partys, chatting, drinking, resting, listening to the tunes. etc.

Deadlock played this great D&B mix of Beanie Mans' 'Hey Dude'. Priceless, worth sitting the whole evening to hear that, except happily I was already on the dancefloor.
It was a great night, and not even spoiled by Mrs Unsound accusing me of looking ike I owned the place, I cant help feeling at home at these parties, I've been going to them for so very long now, they do feel like home.

Im soooo excited. I havent looked forward to Christmas so much for years.
I am acutely ware of how quick me big kids are aging. Their childhood is almost over. This sadens me greatly, in a way, although I acknowledge their growth is a triumph.
So this year, Christmas should well be, the happiest and best ever. If my efforts have anything to do with it, it will be.
